Meet Sprout – Anna Werchowiecki, Senior Project Manager
In our Meet Sprout series, we ask each member of the Sprout Health Solutions team about their work, what brought them here and what makes them tick. Next up is Anna Werchowiecki, Senior Project Manager based in London, UK.
1. What does your role at Sprout involve?
As a Senior Project Manager at Sprout, I’m making sure the team has everything they need to deliver the project. A big part of the role is planning so when a new project comes in, I’ll make sure everything is set up so that the team can hit the ground running. Over the course of the project I’ll track our progress and stay in regular touch with our clients to keep them updated.
2. What led you to this career?
My first job out of university was in account management in Australia. When I moved to London, I wanted to work somewhere I could make a difference and use my skills to improve people’s lives. I managed to find an account management position in an agency working on patient support projects and I’ve been working in this space ever since.
3. What do you value most about the work you do at Sprout?
The best part about working at Sprout is the positive impact we have on patients and caregivers. The second best part is the attention given to affecting long term change and arming people with the tools and knowledge they need to manage their condition. The third best part is working for a women owned organization and that 50% of our team have PhDs. It’s very impressive (also intimidating!) and a great team to be a part of.
4. What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
Something I’m continually learning more about, and am still astounded by, is how our scientist team use their skills to apply different techniques to different situations. They make it look so easy and yet I know it’s a lot of research plus of course years and years of study. As soon as I think I’m making headway, reality sets in and I realise I still have a lot to learn. I call them wizards because I really think that what they do is a super power!
5. What 3 words would your friends use to describe you?
- Prepared
- Genuine
- Enthusiastic
6. If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation, so I could travel anywhere in the world. I love seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I would also love the chance to hop back home to Australia whenever I feel like it, grab some sunshine and then come back when it gets too hot. Add to that visiting our Sprout colleagues in Canada, the US and Scotland and teleportation seems a very worthwhile investment!
